AMMAS- Annual Meeting of Teaching Members
of the Affiliated Societies

Our meetings are meant to promote/support exchange and communication amongst the members of the individual societies belonging to ATAS (Alexander Technique Affiliated Societies). The participation at workshops and the work exchange is meant to be for Alexander teachers only.

The special constructive atmosphere of our meetings are created through the common learning and experiencing of the whole group. For this reason there is only one event at one time. This means during the workshops or work-exchange there are no parallel events offered.

Family members are invited to participate at the events in the evening, and there are possibilities to receive individual Alexander work. Children are always very welcome at the meeting, except at workshops and work- exchange times.

Dear Friends,

Our meeting will be held from
Saturday the 24th of July to Friday the 30st of July 2010.
All teachers of the F.M. Alexander Technique, who are members of the Affiliated Societies are invited.
The meeting is organised by Marion Israel (SVLAT). It's a non-profit event. There will be workshops in the morning and the late afternoon led by participants. In the early afternoon we will have time to practise Alexandertechnik with our colleagues. Our seminar room (120 square meters in size) with a view onto the lake offers the possibility to exchange work with colleagues throughout the day. Anyone wishing to run a workshop or any other event should contact Marion Israel

The Deadline is the 20th. of April 2010.

Family members are also invited to come and to partcipate at certain events.
Basle, September 2009
We will be in Boldern, a Conference Center, situated about 20 km to the east of Zurich, Switzerland for our meeting. Boldern is situated on a sunny terasse overlooking thte lake of Zurich. Boldern is organized more like a hotel and the restaurant serves excellent food (vegetarian and non vegetarian). This will be the first time we will meet in Switzerland.

We have reserved for 25 People 6 doble- and 13 single rooms, which are nearby the seminarroom in the hotel part. The number of rooms can be slightly increased.
In front of the Seminaroom is a big meadow with swing and ping pong tables. The hiking region of the 'panhandle' (hill) is just starting behind the hotel.

Please reserve your place by informing Marion Israel (S.V.L.A.T.) by April 20th 2010. Indicate with your application if you prefer a double or single room, vegetarian or non vegetarian food, and means of transport (so we can organize amongst ourselves the picking up people from the station).

Once your application is received, the account details with accommodation dues will be transmitted back to you. The payment deadline is 20. Mai 2010.

How to get there:
Train:
Arriving at the train station Zurich Hauptbahnhof, take the train (S7) to Mannedorf. The train runs every hour. Then take bus number 940 to bus stop Widenbad (from there the way is slightly down to the Hotel) or a taxi. Traveltime from Hauptbahnhof to the hotel is arround 40 min.

Flight:
Arriving at Airport Zurich: – take the train S2 to station Hauptbahnhof. Continue as described above. Traveltime from the Airport to the hotel arround 60 min.

Car:
From Zurich go east in direction Rapperswil. In Mannedorf go up to the hill in direction to Oetwill am See, turning to the left to Boldern (road sign).
